As you can probably imagine spring and summer are our busy times. Lots of our customers get their bikes tuned up in the spring and lots of customers buy new bikes around this time too. This means that we are fully occupied with getting our tune-ups and repairs done while also preparing new bikes to be sold. This means that we have much less time to be tuning up, photographing, writing about, and posting all of our used bikes for sale. We are still getting used bikes and selling them but they are not showing up here nearly as often as they would in the winter months. So if you would like to check out our selection of used bikes you will need to stop by and look to see what we have. The really nice ones tend to get scooped up almost as soon as they arrive.

New Batch of Polo Mallet Head (Beech) Connectors

We made a fresh batch of our famous Beech Connectors. This time we standardized the spacing of the threaded holes (1.25″ center to center) to facilitate mallet head switching. As usual the connectors are made from 7075 aluminum rod and grade 12.9, M5, countersunk (flat head), socket head cap screws. We use only the finest ingredients for you. So far we have not had one report of a failure with any of the connectors that we have made so they seem to be working well for people. Anyway they cost $5 each and we have a good supply of them for now. Marco!

If you missed the broadcast this past Friday, follow this link to hear our very own Adam Haller talk bikes on the radio!

SOLD – 52cm Lapierre S-Tech 400 – $550
Another very nice sporty road bike. This one has almost zero miles on it and is near pristine. Only one or two very minor nicks in the paint is the extent of wear. Features include Easton EC70 carbon fiber fork, Full Shimano Tiagra group, Shimano wheelset, and a Cateye Vectra wireless cycle computer. This bike is listed as a 52cm frame size but I measured 49cm C-T.

Price: $550
Make: Lapierre
Model: S-Tech 400
Size: 52″
Wheel Size: 700c

SOLD – 22″ Schwinn Mesa Runner SS Conversion – $80
Another bargain beauty, here. When Schwinn made these things they made them to last. This is a tough bike. We installed new brakes on it, front and rear, and converted it to a trouble free single speed drive train. This bike would be a great no-worries lock up beater for the city.

Price: $80
Make: Schwinn
Model: Mesa Runner
Size: 22″
Wheel Size: 26″

SOLD – Huffy Strider SS Conversion – $75
Here is another bike that went from untouchable to borderline sweet in the course of a couple of hours. We removed the garbage parts and installed a brand new, simple, reliable, coaster-brake rear wheel. Now you have a hassle free commuter bike that no one will mess with. Plus you can’t beat the price. It says “Ten Speed” on it but it lies through its sprocket teeth. It is only a single speed now.

Price: $75
Make: Huffy
Model: Strider
Size: 17″
Wheel Size: 26″
SOLD – 16″ MED 2010 Cannondale Quick 4 -$340
Here is a really nice sporty hybrid that we just got in. Features include: Lightweight aluminum frame, carbon fork, SRAM X7 rear derailleur. It is in great shape – only a couple of scratches. The seat post is pretty scratched up but we repaired the cause of that and if the seatpost was replaced it would not happen again – purely a cosmetic problem anyway. This bike originally sold for $649.

Price: $340
Make: Cannondale
Model: Quick 4 (Q4)
Size: 16″
Wheel Size: 700C
