My Pretty Pony

Thick dirt/street bike This was intended to be a dirt/street frame, stiff and strong but not too heavy. Almost all the tubing is .035" wall except for the head tube, BB shell and mono-boxes which all are thicker. Even the 2" OD pierced downtube is .035" and thus somewhat dentable. Genuine street machines should probably be at least .049" wall for better dent resistance. Other Thick products featured are the .083" wall reinforced Rebars, a Gutless Seatpost and the huge pierced and capped fork.

Big mono-stays provide rigidity in the rear end. The chain stays are 1 1/4" X 5/8" rectangular box tube. This is my personal ride and when I first built the bike I was too poor to afford decent Profile cranks so I had one-piece on there for a while. Seems wrong doesn't it? You can see the Thick Ramp Peg on the front.

Two Pretty Ponies were made, they were identical except for the mono-box attached to the chainstays which although made from the same material (2"x2" square tube) had slightly different shapes.
