When I was making the five Steak frames Rog decided that he did not want a standing platform. He also opted to not have gussets because he felt that he could never break it anyway. The moral of the story is: When you order a Thick frame you can have it however you want it.
This is the other side of Rog's Steak. It has gold stickers instead of blue. It is not a different bike.
Here we have the rear dropout. Notice the welded on chain tensioners. Also notice how nice Rog keeps his bike. Can you tell that he doesn't do a lot of grinds on concrete? He mainly sticks to the ramps and dirt jumps.
This is how I constructed the seat stay area with no standing platform.
The seat stays are welded to a short tube that pierces horizontally through the top tube.
Rog also opted for special cable routing to accomodate his 990 brake under the seat stays.
