PlastiPegs are good for two things. The first is that these pegs may convince a skate-only park owner to let you ride there. That's what they were designed for, anyway. The second thing, as it turns out, is that they are great for certain kinds of street. The plastic grinds much faster and smoother on almost every surface exept steel. So on steel rails they will slow you a little but on everthing else you will be grind lightning. The special plastic used is very durable and takes a long while to wear down. The internal structure of the peg is still 4130 chro-moly with a large flat 1/4" laser cut plate as the base.
