Zines: Dirt Rag is the East Coast mountain biking paper and online zine. Fat BMX is another good one. eWire is still going strong. 814: PA local stuff 4130 BMX Gene's BMX and Freestyle is a bit much but does have a lot of content. |
Spots: Ray's Mountain Bike Park is fun no matter what bike you have. They have skatepark, trials, 15 box jumps, foam pit, and more... Mr. Smalls Skatepark is the only place around with a real vert ramp. Located near Pittsburgh in Millvale. Area 51 trails' site may have pop up windows. Section 8 Skatepark is rider owned and well designed. Chenga World near Cleveland, Ohio is is probably the most fun place I have ever ridden and it is gone. There is another one though, not too far from the original. B-Cubed is better than it has ever been. Warning: their site contains garish colors. |

Organize: Bike Pittsburgh does good things that relate to bikes in Pittsburgh. Home of PTAG (Pittsburgh Trail Advocacy Group) DORC stands for Disgruntled Off Road Cyclists - Pittsburgh's latest PORC stands for Pittsburgh Off Road Cycling or something like that. They like to ride and have fun. The BMX Riders Organization fights for your right to ride. Support them in your cause. Transportation Alternatives in NYC is a great group that fights for bike lanes and bike friendly laws. Recycle A Bicycle is another NYC group that does good things for bikes and kids. turnitdown.com Nobody should have to tell you that hate and bigotry are wrong. This site tracks ignorance in the music scene. stophazing.org provides a resource for victims of hazing. |
