Thick FKNBKE
Imagine a mountain bike with Profile three piece BMX cranks instead of spindly normal MTB cranks. Imagine it has 1/4" chrome-moly dropouts. Imagine having gears without a foot of extra chain slapping up and down. Imagine if the chain was like a BMX bike chain with no slack and no way to fall off. Now imagine that this stiff, over built frame has almost five inches of rear suspension travel. Thick made this beast a reality. Its a bike that makes an 6 foot high drop feel like nothing. All of a sudden, a flight of stairs is a smooth landing from a great height. Old lines that seemed big yesterday aren't diddly on the Thick FKNBKE. Who needs this? Anyone who wants to ride their MTB like its a twenty inch bike. Anyone who kills cheesy aluminum crap quickly. Its great for technical downhill too. Chris Boudreaux of Brooklyn Machine Works fame gets credit for working out the pivot design and for general inspiration. He named it FrankenBike which then got turned into FKNBKE for no reason at all. So far I have made this frame with four different frame styles and geometries.
